Error 1714 norton

Two Four Nine. I had Anquet Maps installed on my computer. I had responded to Anquet's exhortations to update to Version 6. The update went wrong and to try and get the programme back I uninstalled it and tried to reinstall it. However I try I end up with Error newer version installed or if I try to download the updated version of Anquet it informs me that there is an older version installed. I have contacted Anquet support and after weeks of correspondence and many attempts to uninstall, clean, purge and exorcise any reference to Anquet I still can't load my Anquet Maps programme.

They gave up and advised me to restore my computer to its original state no way. They said " I'll re-iterate that this is not an error generated by Anquet software, but by corrupted Microsoft Installer files" I even braved the Registry and survived to purge any reference to Anquet but to no avail, I still get error Can anyone help?

This thread is locked. What I have tried to do so far: uninstalling old chipset drivers via "Add or remove programs" has failed, removing the entry, but not actually uninstalling anything reinstalling 3. I was not aware of this tool. Are you still not getting work? Hello again, Nope I have tried installing older boinc versions but they give the same error when installing. I can't find the 5. I can't install the program nomore. Maybe if i could find out what the windows install cleanup aplication exactly removed, I could figure out what to delete manually.

I have the feeling it can't be that difficult to fool the installation routine in believing no boinc app was installed already?

I am not crunching and silently hoping a new version will circumvent this error. I hope the aliens never find out the trouble we have with teh installation of msi based applications Did you also clean the registry? So if you download it again, it's got to be the same version.

Ok, I am getting the exact same problem. Error So what's my next move? I have also tried to install the earliest version I could find, which was 4. Still got I really miss SETI classic. That was so easy to fix. Have you tried the Microsoft Installer cleaner as suggested in the second post in this thread. Yes, and there was nothing there.
