It's success would mean an instant sequel in most developers' eyes, but in Bully's case, things are more complicated. There have been many rumors and theories about a Bully 2 over the years. Between rumored storylines, alleged casting calls for characters, and leaked concept art, whether or not Bully 2 is in development is anyone's guess.
Back when Bully was first released, an industry analyst claimed that the game wouldn't sell anywhere near enough copies to warrant a sequel. However, when sales for the game were through the roof, Pachter was proven wrong, and he even apologized to Rockstar and called the sequel a possibility. But little did he know how many theories and rumors surrounding a mysterious sequel would follow.
Everybody remembers all of the great characters in Bully , but what made the game truly memorable was its unique and almost spooky aesthetic.
Part of what helped build that tone was the mysterious, xylophone-heavy musical score. According to IGN , in an exclusive interview with The Gaming Liberty , Shawn Lee, the musician who composed Bully's score, claimed that he had been hired to compose the music for the sequel. In , when asked if he would be scoring any more video games, he responded with, "Yes, it looks like I'll be doing Bully 2 in the not-so-distant future.
Though it's one of many video game movies everyone forgot about , Max Payne is one of Rockstar's great, often overlooked game series, just like Bully. Max Payne 3 was the last entry into the series, released in Inspired by the novels written in the s, film noir, and detective films like L. Set in Los Angeles, players take on the role of a detective solving crimes in a city corrupted by crime across five major divisions in the LAPD. Players must search for clues, interrogate suspects, and uncover a vast conspiracy.
Developed by Sega, Yakuza Kiwami is a remake of the first Yakuza game within the series. Players will learn about the various crime families and their connections with each other. A sequel to Yakuza Kiwami that retells the story of Yakuza 2 is set to the first launch in Japan, December of Judgment is a spin-off to the Yakuza series where players take on the role of a private detective who is investigating a series of murder cases.
Overall, the gameplay still had the same style as the Yakuza series and it was even released in Japan back in December of last year. However, an actor by the name of Pierre Taki was used as the model for a major character. This ultimately resulted in Sega pulling the game from both store shelves and digital sales.
The game is a more of a focus on detective work and in our Before You Buy episode upload we found that it feels more like Ace Attorney style elements in comparison to something like L. If you want a more in-depth look of the actual gameplay we have footage available within our episode upload above along with some general thoughts on the game.
Watch Dogs is about crime and the prevention of crime before it happens. The game puts you in the role of Shen, an undercover cop gone rogue criminal agent who rises through the ranks of the Triads as he takes down the Chinese mob. Hitman released as an episodic stealth video game where players took the role as Agent 47 who must stealthily assassinate his designated targets.
As mentioned, this is a slight reboot as the game does take place both prior to Hitman: Codename 47 along with also taking place years after the events of Hitman: Absolution. Within the game, players must fulfill several assassination contracts that slowly seem to connect.
As a result, Agent 47 must blend in with his surroundings along with cleaning up any messes he left from his trail. Though Hitman released episodically, players will have the full game available right now through the Definitive Edition.
This time around, players are taken to the San Francisco Bay Area to explore and cause havoc by hacking various terminals connecting to city functions or personal smartphones. Much of the same gameplay mechanics are present, though the developers did make a few overhauls such as driving.

Have you played Grand Theft Auto V? Zelnick didn't specify which specific franchises would be considered for mobile development, nor whether those would take the form of new games, or ports.
